In the late 1980's the designer Maria Chiodo launched her own label producing "one off" couture gowns for an ever growing clientele, using some of the most beautiful fabrics sourced from around the globe, and focusing on the "pure couture" techniques - a process and tradition which continues today and has placed both designer and label as one of Australia's premium bridal brands.

The introduction of the ready to wear bridal ranges of "chiodo collection" and "Victoria Hardt by maria chiodo"; both collections are designed and manufactured in Australia and both have cemented their places in the ready-to-wear market place as valuable extensions of Maria Chiodo Couture.
